The Great Recession and its wake of economic lethargy have raised peculiar challenges for board members - not only in the U.S. but throughout the world.
- How do we downsize in a shrinking market?
- Which products or people do we cut, and which do we keep?
- How do we consolidate to become "lean and mean?"
- How do we revamp our compensation and incentives for our key people?
- Do we need a new strategy?
- Should we acquire new businesses?
- Should we launch new products?
- Should we expand into new markets?
- Do we have the right management team in place?
- Do we have the right board of directors?
All these questions and more will be discussed at our October Luncheon by a panel of experienced directors who are weathering this storm. Come and learn from their experiences, and add your own insights to this timely topic.
